I'm sure the intentions on the government health insurance plan are
well intended to help the average American afford health insurance.
What I'm hearing so far is the government is planning to deploy their
own health insurance so that an average salary can afford it, letting
those who are above average salaries choose their own health care.
Also by putting a lower cost health insurance on the market
(competition) it may not only help lower the cost of heath insurance
but the cost of the doctor's visit as well.
I'm pretty sure this will not benefit the health care industry and may
add more issues to our already hurting economy. Okay, so if this plan
were to pass, I'm sure there will be a lot of bumps and bruises
financially for some Americans but for other Americans it will be
financially catastrophic. For example, if you have an average salary or
less with no health insurance and you are barely making ends meet in
your monthly budget, with this proposed plan you will be penalized
2.5% of your yearly salary if you don't carry heath insurance. This plan
will force every American to have heath insurance regardless of their
financial status. Before this plan can be passed there needs to be
better guide lines such as hardship and/or forgiveness using
commonsense as a judging tool for certain circumstances and these
guide lines need to be advertised to the public and not hidden for
negligence sake. If this plan passes it will secure another income for a
service just like social security.

Stop strangling the small guy because it doesn't work! Adjust the
playing field for the big guys and make them pay their fair share. All
this money that the government spent to help save our economy went
to the big guy. Here is the punch line; the small guy has to pay it
back.

We need to remain a free country with free enterprise, but politics and
big business better get it right quickly before we all fail.

Is the government forcing heath insurance on every American because
they are truly concerned about our heath?
